I’m pleased to introduce this month’s feature #paccouple - Danyelle and Travis Huck
Danyelle and Travis had their ceremony and reception at the Art Center on May 12, 2018. Upon meeting the couple, I was immediately excited at the possibility of working with them. Their love for each other lit up the room and I was so excited when they said “Yes” to the Art Center! They were such a fun couple to work with and seeing everything come together for their big day was a pleasure. Turns out its quite a small world, my brother-in-law was a groomsman in their wedding, too!

How did you meet?
Travis and I met through mutual friends.
Tell us about the proposal…
On July 15th, 2017, Travis and I had a date night planned to go grab some dinner and go play mini golf. On the way to dinner, Travis insisted that we stop by the Lock Bridge (Harmar Bridge) in Marietta, OH to see our lock that we had placed on the bridge a little over a year ago. I was becoming quite “hangry” and was just wanting to go to dinner and visit our lock after, but by the time I started trying to convince Travis to do this, he was already pulling into the parking lot for the bridge! Little did I know, I was about to have the biggest surprise of my life! When I found our lock, there was another lock attached to our original one that said, “Will you marry me?” Immediately I said YES!! While we were walking off the bridge, Travis said he had one more surprise for me. Some of our family and friends were there at the other end of the bridge waiting on us to celebrate! It was such a magical day. A day that neither one of us will forget.
What inspired the vision you had for your big day?
I am a HUGE fan of Pinterest and I use it for literally almost everything… So after thinking about some of my favorite colors and the season we wanted to get married in, I began Pinteresting. Pink has always been my favorite color, so we decided to go with blush pink and grey with pops of plum. I’ve always imagined a very elegant wedding, so I felt like those colors would be perfect and elegant for a spring wedding!
What made you choose the Art Center as your venue?
As soon as I saw the ballroom at the Art Center, I immediately knew this is where I wanted to have our wedding reception! It is SO beautiful and elegant and the size was perfect for our large family. It was exactly what I had imagined for my wedding. The grey color of the ballroom went perfect with the colors we had chosen.
What other vendors did you choose and can you tell us a little about your experience?
All of our vendors were AMAZING. We had Valley Catering for our food and everything was delicious! Our cake was from Lisa’s Sweet Stop. Again… DELICIOUS. Our DJ was Rob Goff and Dennis from Class Entertainment. They were wonderful to work with and would recommend them to anyone! We also had Elizabeth Black with Black Tie Affairs coordinate and assist in decorating as well as providing the linens. Elizabeth truly is a wonderful, trustworthy person and was soooo helpful! She took care of so much for us and was always available to answer any questions we had. Two Peas in a Pod in Marietta OH was our florist and they are wonderful. Highly recommend!
What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
My favorite memory from my wedding day would be when I was walking down the aisle and saw my husband’s face for the first time. It was one of the best moments of my life and definitely a memory I will never forget. And of course, our first kiss as husband and wife!
Any last bits of advice?
KEEP CALM. It’s your wedding day! Enjoy it. Enjoy every single second of it! Take every moment in. Trust me, it will go by so fast. Even if it doesn’t seem like the day is going perfect or exactly how you had it in your head, it will still turn out beautiful and perfect no matter what. At the end of the day, you will be married!!
