Jessica and Randy got married on July 22, 2017 and from the moment I met them, you could tell they were soul mates. Getting to know all of the couples that come through is so much fun and it was a pleasure working with them. We have stayed connected on social media and I have watched their love grow and their family expand as they now have a handsome baby boy!

 Here’s more from Jessica:

How did you meet?
Randy & I met through mutual friends in 2006. We went to rival high schools.

 Tell us about the proposal…
Randy planned the sweetest surprise proposal .. he had my friends get me to a park near our house in Marietta. He had the park completely decorated with ribbon, rose petals & large frames with our pictures. He was waiting for me on the bridge. I sobbed the entire walk to the bridge. It was truly a fairy tale proposal.

What inspired the vision you had for your big day?
I loved the rustic look from weddings I had been to in the past. That helped me narrow my Pinterest search.

What made you choose the Art Center as your venue?
I love the space the ballroom has. It is a beautiful space & the walls didn’t need covered up. I also love that you can bring in a caterer of your choice.

What other vendors did you choose and can you tell us a little about your experiences?
Church: First Presbyterian Church Parkersburg

Venue: Parkersburg Art Center

Vocals: BreAnne Nixon

Caterer: Cheerful Heart Catering Charleston

Cupcakes: Sweet Stop

Florist: Two Peas In a Pod

Cookies: Ruth Cramer(my mom)

Makeup: Abby Gedon

Hair: Bre Turner & Chelsea Holtz - The Hair Hippie

DJ: Mike Bishman - premier productions

What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
Dancing with my husband for the first time and looking out to everyone watching us. It was so surreal. It was a moment I’ll never forget!!

 Any last bits of advice?
My biggest advice to brides is to make it a point be “present” throughout day. Take in every moment and truly be in each moment. Put your phone down & make memories that will last a lifetime. Make sure you delegate duties beforehand so you can do this!! I made schedules for the day for everyone who was involved on my wedding day..(coordinator, DJ, photographer, maid of honor, best man, etc.) it really helped things stay on time!
