HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE and ARTISTS’ MARKET: Saturday, November 29th
Join us at the Parkersburg Art Center and The Market on Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for our annual HOLIDAY ARTISTS' MARKET and OPEN HOUSE. Browse one-of-a-kind creations from more than 20 local vendors, featuring handmade gifts, artwork, specialty foods, pottery, woodwork, accessories, seasonal items, and new PAC swag. Families are encouraged to bring children—snacks and free crafting kits will be available throughout the day.
This event also marks the opening of our ARTIST TREE EXHIBIT, a much-loved PAC tradition. Staff, volunteers, and school groups decorate trees inspired by famous artists or works of art, resulting in a gallery full of imaginative, whimsical creations. As Artistic Director Abby Hayhurst puts it, “Our Holiday tree decorators don’t just think outside the box—they live there!” Drop a few dollars in the container in front of your favorite tree; the tree with the most contributions wins bragging rights.
Artist Trees and the WV Watercolor Society Exhibit will remain on display through December 20. Free parking is available on the street or in PAC lots along 8th Street. The Art Center is fully accessible.

Arty Parties: Saturdays, January 3rd - March 7th, 10am - 12 pm
Free Saturday Morning Arty Parties
Join us for creative fun every Saturday morning between 10 a.m. to 12 noon, January 3 through March 7! Each week features a new art project or material for children aged 4–10 to explore and enjoy. A Lego building table and drawing table are also on hand each week. Registration is free and will open online in December. Please register only for the sessions you plan to attend, as space is limited to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Come spark your child’s creativity with us! Cash donations are gratefully accepted at the events.
Classic Plastics Toy Expo: March 7th & 8th
Classic Plastic Toys are back with their annual toy and pop culture expo at the Art Center. Two full days of toys and events! Saturday, March 7th is from 10am-4pm and Sunday, March 8th is from 11am-4pm.
$5 entry, 10 and under are free.

Art-O-Rama: Saturday, March 14th, 10 am - 1 pm
Art-O-Rama is a free community arts day for kids and their families featuring hands-on make-and-take craft stations. PAC and other arts and natural resource groups offer fun and varied activities for kids and families.
Volunteers engage young artists in lots of fun interactive creation stations, plus music, demos by area woodcarvers, live performances, and much more!

YART Sale: Saturday, March 14th, 10 am - 2 pm
Preview for members only on Friday, March 13th from 5-7 pm. Open to the public on Saturday, March 14th from 10 am - 2 pm.
Missing yard sale season? Wait no longer! We have been collecting all sorts of good stuff for the past year and it is time to clear out! We have art supplies, frames, fabric, home décor, Christmas stuff, toys, ribbons, china, glassware, art and so much more!! All priced to go to good homes...and did we mention art supplies?
This is the same day as ArtOrama so bring the kids and do some make and take crafting with them on the first floor then bring the gang up to the Ballroom to shop!
Private Painting and Pottery Parties
The Parkersburg Art Center offers private painting or pottery parties. These are perfect for team building, a staff retreat, gatherings with friends, celebratory events, and birthdays. With a minimum of five participants, we can bring your creative event to life—just email info@parkersburgartcenter.org with your request. Please start making those plans AT LEAST three weeks in advance so we can schedule an instructor!
