These specialized wheel classes are designed for children ages 10 and older and will be customized to match your child’s interests. Sessions will be tailored according to their experience level, goals, and the number of sessions they plan to attend. We recommend a minimum of two sessions to ensure students have sufficient time to learn and create a finished piece.

Dress for mess and be prepared for mini and me style fun as you experience a variety of art materials and mediums through exploration and play with your little one. Designed for ages 18 months to 3 years with their caregiver (only 1 adult permitted per child). The class will end with story time and free play in the "Big Room". Two session times to pick from for each month.

Students ages 9 and up can explore the elements of art in a unique way - through 3D media. Create an animal sculpture with cardboard, fibers, and found objects. Learn fun ways to use form, space, and texture to create an artwork unique to each student. This class is geared toward middle and high school students.

Crazy, messy art allows students to explore art in a hands-on and tactile way. It encourages sensory development and creative expression. Skip the mess at home and let the kids join the crazy, messy fun in a small-class sensory experience! New project every session. This class is designed for elementary school children.

Drop your preschooler off for an afternoon of art, songs, stories and creative play with ArtStart preschool teachers! Children ages 3-5 (and toilet trained) will be able to create projects using a variety of mediums in this four-week class series.
February Session: Fridays, February 6-27, 12:30-2pm with Miss Maia
March Session: Fridays, March 6-27, 12:30-2pm with Miss Jess
April Session (2 weeks only): Fridays, April 17 and April 24, 12:30-2pm with Miss Summer
Cost: $90 for 4 week sessions, $50 for 2 week session (PAC members receive a 20% discount).
Students in grades 1-6 will create clay pieces that will be glazed and fired. Techniques to be explored include pinch pots, slab building and coil building. Students will be able to glaze or paint their pieces. Working with clay can help develop patience, improve eye-hand coordination and enhance creativity and imagination. All materials, including clay, glazes, tools, and firing are included in the price. Projects completed the last week of class will need to be picked up at PAC after they have been fired.

Most classes require a minimum of 4 students in order to run and/or have maximum number limits so… PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE THAT YOU CAN GET INTO THE CLASS YOU WANT.
Refund policy: A $5 online processing fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be given 48 hours before the start of any class.

Arty Parties are FREE community events for children (accompanied by a parent or guardian) on Saturday mornings from January 3 through March 7, culminating with ArtORama on March 14. Arrive anytime between 10 and 11:15 a.m. so you have plenty of time to enjoy the project. Doors stay open until noon. Each Saturday features new arts and crafts materials. Projects are designed for ages 4–10 and are open-ended, giving kids the freedom to make choices, explore, and express themselves.
Families must register online or by emailing info@parkersburgartcenter.org. Group sizes are limited so we can provide ample supplies and space for creation.
