Cassy and Sean were married on September 15, 2018
When I first met Cassy, I feel like we instantly connected. She has the warmest personality and is easily one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She had an amazing vision for her wedding day that was unlike anything I’d seen come through the Art Center before. That is one of my favorite things about events here – I’ve never seen the same thing twice. As I got to know Cassy and Sean, it was easy to see how they complimented each other as a couple. I’m so glad to have met them during such a special time in their lives.
Here’s more from Cassy:
How did you meet?
Sean and I met at Evergreen Bible Church in Williamstown. He was on the worship band and I when I saw him on stage I turned to the girl next to me and said “The young guy is super cute!”
Tell us about the proposal…
He took me on a gondola ride to the top of a ski mountain in Vail, Colorado. The scenery was beautiful! He got down on one knee and I was so excited he was proposing that I forget everything he said except for the “Will you marry me?” to which I say “about time and yes”
What inspired the vision you had for your big day?
Umm, I wanted a casual elegance theme with TONS of greenery because I love plants and creamy colors.
What made you choose the Art Center as your venue?
The Art Center offered an AMAZING space that was in a good location. Lyndsay was fantastic to work with! She gave me this booklet of wedding information that had caterers, photographers, florists, and basically anything else wedding related. That booklet was my wedding planning bible! It even included parking maps! Lyndsay also responded to my emails timely which is a blessing for a stressed bride. Basically, the Art Center is a great wedding venue and I would recommend it to any bride.
What other vendors did you choose and can you tell us a little about your experiences?
For my caterer, I chose Valley Catering. They were fantastic!! Lyndsay recommended them and I couldn’t be more pleased with their performance and tasty food! I decided to do just appetizers and it went over so well! The food was displayed beautifully and tasted divine!
For my DJ, I chose DJ Correct aka Curt Plummer. I would also highly recommend him! He made the night a blast!
What is your favorite memory of your wedding day?
My favorite memory of my wedding day is being announced as Mr and Mrs Miller for the first time. We turned around to see the people at our ceremony and it was truly beautiful and humbling to see so many people we love being present for our wedding day.
Any last bits of advice?
Have fun and delegate tasks! Try not to be stressed on your wedding day and remember that at the end of the day you are marrying your best friend and that is really what the day is about.
